3D scanned and modelled to 1/10th scale, these coasters are an accurate representation of the cobblestones in the Oude Markt – a historical market square in Leuven (Belgium), dating back to the 12th century, and the city I grew up in.
With a water resistant coating, these coasters will stand the test of time and develop their own patina – in the same way the cobbles in the Oude Markt have.

Situated in the heart of Leuven, a thriving student city in Belgium, this cobblestone square is the city’s meeting point – where each bars terrace fills up quickly.
Granted market rights in 1150, it’s fair to say the Oude Markt is steeped in history. The buildings have been rebuilt a number of times following the great fire of 1914 and bombings during both world wars, the Oude Markt holds it’s charm.
