Ben Durack
Product Designer, Design Educator, Maker
With a background in commercial Product Design and managing a digital fabrication studio I am now course leader for Product, Ceramics & Jewellery (BA) at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland. I am driven to craft products that surprise and elevate honest materials. My mission is to create products that speak to people and care for the planet.
The Studio
I bring ideas to life with people and the planet at the centre – through both client work and self-initated projects.
My design practice is rooted in divergent creative ideation combined with convergent strategic thinking. My clear, focussed design process keeps projects on task and on budget. I use human-centred and circular design principles to deeply understand users and design with lasting impact.
From early research to final production, I stay hands-on—prototyping, testing, and refining every detail before collaborating with trusted manufacturing partners.
